BCCI Wants 1st Test Postponed so Dhoni can play Champions T20 final- ridiculous?

  • BCCI has already approached ECB on postponing the first test Ahmedabad by 1 day.
  • This is to allow MS Dhoni to play in the Champions T20 League final two days prior to it IF  Chennai Super Kings make it to the title contest.
  • England media manager Andrew Walpole"I can confirm that an approach has been made by the Indian board to put it off by a day, but no decision has been taken so far,'
  • Kevin Pieterson has refused to comment at this time.
  • Ain't this ridiculous?  These kind on things make everyone around the world consider BCCI as bullying.  What's your take?

Hyderabad Deccan Chargers Sack VVS Laxman, Robin. Gilchrist is new Captain

Hyderabad.  Setpember 29, 2008.

  • Finishing bottom of the IPL early this year and Shahid Afridi's open statement[report here] deploring VVS Laxman's captaincy seems to have weighed Hyderabad Deccan Chargers to change their captain.
  • Robin Singh also has been sacked and in his place Australian Darren Lehmannwill be the new coach.
  • Laxman can count himself as unlucky too as lot part of the torunament he was injured and it was indeed Gilchrist who was leading Hyderabad team.
  • With bat VVS actually had done good, it was failure of other batsmen including Gilchrist which led to Chargers rout.
